The 31st production of the Bele Cher Festival took place
last weekend in Asheville with 4 music stages, art displays,
and food over several streets in the downtown area.

One of the many impromtu musical groups performing on
the street. The chap on the left was playing a saw.

The drum circle performed under a tent complete
with dancers.

Drum Circle, Asheville NC

Every Friday evening during summer from 7pm till 10pm
there is a drum circle in downtown Asheville in Pritchard
Park. All types and ages of drummers take part and the
audience gets very involved with dancing, shouting and swaying
to the beat. Sort of like a 20th century urban version of the
dance in Matrix. For more information, pictures and video
click on this link http://www.romanticasheville.com/drumming_circle.htm

Signs, Signs, any kinda sign...

This sign is most appropriate for the hardware store that
it is announcing. I missed a better shot a few months ago
when it was advertising ammunition and barbed wire!

Here we have all the bases covered from birth to taxes...

Artisphere Festival in Greenville, SC

Artists, food and music were all present at the Artisphere
festival this past weekend in Greenville, SC. Part of Main
Street was closed for the occasion and a good time was had
by all.

One of the "street artists" at the festival; very
entertaining for the children and adults. There
were two of these artists in Greenville - one
can see many of these in Barcelona, Spain on
the Ramblas. See some here at this link

Moon over Reedy Falls Park

This picture was taken at Reedy Falls Park on a bright, clear
day. Oh yes, the moon is directly over the front right corner
of the brick masonry tower.... See my previous post for more
information on this popular attraction in downtown Greenville, SC.

Outdoor Bar in Charleston

Charleston is famous for its residential gardens that are infused
with tropical plants. There are also a few outdoor restaurants
and bars in the downtown area. This one even has the feel of a
Mediterranean space with palms and the paved areas....

Old Man Tree in Charleston, SC

On a recent trip to Charleston I saw this tree which appeared
to be suffering with its own version of disambiguation. The
strange growth travelled from its trunk to the roots onto
the street and sidewalk.
